Has anyone become legal from their home in Tennessee?I receive information from the TN dept of agriculture. This seemed like a lot, just to sell legally.I basically do this as a hobby while my children are small.I would consider it as a side job,if it wasn't too much involved. We have a new home and it appeared that I would even have to repaint and tile in light colors. Can someone help? We just moved to this rural area. icon_biggrin.gif

I do cakes and catering, while I am a full time student. I contacted the local health department and was sent on to my state inspectors office. I was told that as long as I was working by word of mouth and had no full time employees I didn't have to be inspected. Where are you located?

They just recently changed the requirements for running a legal home bakery in TN. I wrote about it here...bottom of the page

I'd start at the TN Dept of Agriculture since they're the regulatory authority.
