Has any one tried mixing instant pudding mixes(just the powdered mix, not adding milk) with buttercream for a filling?

I prefer fillings that don't need refridgeration, just wondering how this would work?

Never thought of that before... could be really good! I'l have to try that with some left over icing next time.

There was a filling on here that used powdered puddings with cream cheese and coolwhip. I tried it and it was really good. If you can put powdered pudding in with cream cheese and mix I don't see why you couldn't do the same thing to buttercream?????

I use pudding in my icing all the time! It works great...Ive even used jello..also works great! The pudding makes it real creamy, without needing to refridgerate.

I buy the little pudding cups when they go on sale, the ones not in the refrigerated section. I use them straight out of the carton, with a good BC dam.
