Butter for cake mixes

Quick question: when using butter in cake mixes, is there a preference with unsalted/salted? I've always used salted in the past, but I got unsalted this time.
Any one have opinions?

I really can't tell the difference. Maybe someone else will know.

I watch quite a bit of the Food Network, and most of them work with unsalted butter, that is all I buy now.
