I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for a crime scene cake. My sister's birthday is coming up and she is extrememly into the CSI and Law and Order shows. I as thinking crime scene tape around the outside edge of a sheet cake, and a chalk outline on the top, but that's all I got. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That sounds like a GREAT idea! Maybe you might even see if you can find a real small toy gun to lay near the chalk outline with little bullet markers in various spots to show how many shots were fired, etc....

I don't know how difficult this would be, but I'm thinking of the CSI intro, and don't they have a big fingerprint and a magnifying glass or something? I have this picture in my mind, but it's hard to describe! lol. I tried to look for it on their site, but I can't see it. It sounds like a fun cake to make!

Hi, I just did a trusty Google Images search and found a CSI black and white logo on the first page.
Just put in CSI to find this one.

Put in-crime scene investigation- and there is a chalk outline of a body with yellow tape across, this might be something you could do. Hope this helps! Janice

I have some pictures that I received from another cake decorator with a crime scene cake. If you email me I can send them to you. I do not want to post them because I can not remember who I received them from and I don't want to upset anyone by posting them.

I have finished this cake, and finally got my stupid camera to upload. I am not sure if it's appropriate to upload though. It is a white chalk outline with a blood trail from the body to the knife laying in the grass. The reason it might not be appropriate is the location of the blood pool in the outline is in the lower nether-region of the body. (Totally by mistake, I made the outline from the knife to the body without thinking where the straigh line would end up until it was too late). What do you think, would it be okay?

Oh puhleeze! With all of this talk about a penis cake, your worried about offending someone with a pool of blood in a chalk outline? I say UPLOAD it! I'm a major CSI and L&O fan. I wanna see the cake!!! (stomping foot like a spoiled child).

I think it would be okay too. Have you seen the incredibly realistic human heart cake? It would put your pool of blood to shame--LOL!

Okay, well if Lisa says it okay, then dag nabbit, I'll post it icon_lol.gif Looking at the pictures, it doesn't look as graffic as it did in real life. Also, you can't see the knife that is hidding in the grass.
