Yes, you guessed. Hell. There, I said it! I just have to vent so bear with me. She contacted me on Sunday to ask if I could do a wedding cake for next Saturday. Oooook. She said she would have 20 guests; it was an evening, outdoor wedding about 45 minutes from me. I went through prices, she emailed me pictures, blah, blah, blah. To make a looong story short, she never got "it". Every time I told her one thing she would come back and reask the same question again and again. Finally, today, she emails me and tells me she found someone else to do a bigger, more elaborate cake for slightly more than I was going to charge, delivery included. Whatfreakinever. Just moments ago she emails me and tells me that they wanted a lot of cake (something she NEVER told me) so that they could take it back to their coworkers next week. She had also told me that she wanted a simple cake that I could design and basically surprise her (something I said I wouldn't feel comfortable doing) but that this woman was going to make her an ELABORATE cake. From what I can figure, she's probably getting it for about $1.40/slice. I was going to charge about $2.25 even though it was last-minute b/c she said she was on a budget (who isn't?) and b/c of the simplicity of it, plus delivery. ARRRRRRGH!!!! Thanks for the rant!

The initial dealing with her was difficult enough so consider it a blesing in the long run that the deal fell through. If she's that bad at communicating her needs/wants up front, she'd be one to complain and want money back in the long run. All you are out is a little time now vs. a lot of wasted money and energy down the road. She sounds like a dufus! thumbsdown.gif

Sorry to hear it was a waste of time for you and I know it makes you mad - understandably so but hey - the truth is you are better off without her. ...

uuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggghhhhhh. How frustrating. You know what? It's a good thing she chose someone else. Now she can bug the heck out of someone else and not you.

I totally agree ~ you are MUCH better off that you didn't get that order. I think it would have been a horror show with her.

You're so much better off without that order! Just imagine how much money you will be saving on all the Excedrin you would've had to take to deal with the Bridezilla! lol

Hi Everyone: Everything is for a reason. Be glad you don't have to deal with this itch. Look at it as a blessing. The world seems to be made up of a lot of crazy people now adays. I think there must be a full moon every day and night. Be happy you don't have to deal with this person. Vicki0052.

That's okay, she can probably pick up the food for her reception at Wal Mart while she's there picking up her cake!
