I do the same thing. It throws me off when avatars change b/c I recognize folks from their avatars and rarely ever look at the names unless I don't recognize the avatar.

Oops ... I just changed mine yesterday, too. I get a little bored with the same avatar, so sometimes I just have to change it.
Mine is of my baby angel. He was born in November of 06 with a rare defect (CDH), and passed after 55 days I will always treasure. I love to look at him and keep his memory alive, so here he is, my guardian angel. BTW, I have gotten so many sweet PMs from all you caring people! It means a lot to me that you all care! Maybe someday I will switch it to one of my cakes, but for now this stays.

Click on "My Forum Info" on the left side, scroll down to the bottom of the page and upload your avatar. It has to be a certain size.

The reason my avatar came to be was b/c after I went to the MidAtlantic Cake show and met Duff I posted some of the pictures of the people I met and then I was told that was a no-no so they were removed for me...but then I wouldn't take no for an answer so I saw that other people had personal photos of actual people as their avatar and I thought, ah-ha that's how I can do it!! So I put it up as my avatar - but not too long after that they changed the rules about posting pics of people in a certain spot on here - but I just left it b/c I just love Duff!!! He's so yummy!
My avatar is my two year old miracle. She was born 4 months premature. She weighed 1 lb 6 oz. and was 12 1/2 inches long . There is nothing in this world that inspires me more than my Princess Maricarmen who fought for
over 3 1/2 months in a NICU before we brought her home. My avatar is one of God's miracles.
My avatar is a photo of every variety of biscotti I make. Biscotti is how my business began, although it has morphed a number of times. I was thinking of changing it since nowadays I do so little biscotti, but I agree, sometimes I recognize people by their avatar, so I'll probably keep it.
