Great thread! I'm in boring ol' IL, Belvidere to be exact which is just east of Rockford, or about 60 miles west of Chicago. I'm was born in Rockford, escaped long enough to go to college, and now many years later, fate has brought me back. It's not that bad actually, but not as exotic as some of your locations! I love how the internet can make the world such a small place that we can all be chatting like this!

Hey yalll!! I'm new to this forum!
Currently I'm in FL....Gainesville Gator country to be exact. Gotta love my gators. I'm moving to Fredricksburg, VA in a month, it's a growing city outside of Washington DC.. Grew up in Miami, FL, born in Santo Dominigo, Dominican Republic, and grandchild of two holocaust survivors. Lot of culture and good cooking in my family. I bake for my boyfriend mostly, we've been together for one year now, we met on my birthday, beat birthday present ever! I also bake and cook for my friends, we all go to UF and I'm the only one with a kitchen. Even though it's only a space of 6'x6' including counter space and appliances, and my stove is a pea green flashback from the 60's. Whatever works!!

I'm originally from Southern Ca but have lived in Kansas since I got married two weeks after graduating high school. We will celebrate our 36th anniversary this month. I have three grown kids (two boys and a girl) and two beautiful grandaughters. I miss the ocean and my family but not the masses of people and pace of Ca. I love living in the midwest.
I'm from Lexington, TN. It's a small town half way between Memphis and Nashville. Been here all of my life. LOVE this site, I'm new to cake decorating and this site has been a tremendous help.
I'm in a little place called Chehalis, WA. pretty much the middle spot between Seattle and Portland. Moved here in '81, married with 3 grown kids, all moved out thank goodness, and 1 granddaughter 3 yrs. old.

Fredericksburg is where I go to shop!! LOTS of traffic up there. When you move to Fredericksburg, check out a great little cake supply store called Simply Sweet!
I am orginally from Adelaide Australia currently living in the USA. NO rug rats yet!
I have single for the past 19 years. Husband died when baby was 10 months. So it has just been me and 2 girls. I have a 22 and 20 year old.
one teaching in MS the other student in Mobile, AL. So I am alone at home again with alot of extra time and room to keep everything out where I know it is suppose to be!!!!!!! . Done decorating and baking for them while they were in Elem and high school. People were always telling me they missed it. Saw an opportuntiy to make extra$$$. I do have another full time job also!!!! Do ya'll work outside the home?
I used to be an army brat, born in Hawaii, moved to Wisconsin when I was 2, moved around in WI and then over to Minnesota. Parents split when I was 10, moved back to Wisconsin with my mom when I was 10 1/2 and have been here ever since.
I've been married since 1999 after a 3 month courtship (just knew he was the one) and our marriage is getting better every year. We have one child, a boy who is 5 years old and smart as heck. Want more kids but things need to get better in the budget first. (And husband is currently going for his bachelor degree so things are a little busy right now and he would not have time to help me with a second child.)
I work outside the home catbird .. I work a 40 hour a week job and I do cakes on the side ... I too, have no children left at home .. my 31 year daughter old has 2 children, my 29 year old son has 2 children also.. all grandson's... no little grand daughter's yet .. I'm holding out hoping though! believe me, those 4 grandchildren keep me busy I'm constantly baking something for them for school, birthday's etc ... and my DIL has gotten me a lot of orders where she works ... sold a lot of cakes there .. my daughter's office is smaller, but she's gotten me some business also .. so I stay really busy w/the full time job and the cake decorating on the side .. I love it!
