I know my husband is great because he does not complain about this:

(It is not usually quite this messy but my mother came over this morning and was looking at all my stuff and I haven't cleaned up yet. Not that it is normally spotless. I usually have enough stuff out that my husband can not use the table.)

edited to say: The sad thing is that I don't think there is a single thing on this table that is not for cakes icon_redface.gif

Count me in as one that has a VERY supportive spouse! He goes way above and beyond the call of duty. Long Live the Supportive Husband! I think that would make a great bumper sticker icon_biggrin.gif ...don't you? >^.,.^<

Oh my! That is messy?!? Wow, I don't even want to show you what my work area looks like while I'm working... icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif My hubby would love it if I was even close to being as organized as your mess. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif (But he really can't complain--he is just as bad with his ebay stuff....)

Mine's the best. Not only does he help when needed, he's forever drumming up business (I call him my agent). He shops, mixes, helps bake, clean up and deliver. We're partners all the way. And he has a great eye for color combinations and designs.

My fiance is very supportive of everything I do. With cakes, at least he gets the bonus of eating them. With school and photography, he just gets to spend money and see me happy. He actually scouts out stores for me, makes sure I have money to buy the things I "need" and gives me time to do my hobbies. I have jealous friends, lol.

My husband is soooo supportive about anything and everything I do and honestly always has been. As for cakes - he tells people that I'm the person they want to get their cakes from, gets orders for me, gives me the time and space to make them, doesn't complain when I spend a little too much on supplies and books and is the one who bought me my KA for Christmas a few years ago without my even asking for one. He figured since I bake so much (not just cakes) that it was just what I needed. He's the best!!!! icon_smile.gifthumbs_up.gif

My husband isn't exactly supportive. He doesn't mind as long as there isn't a mess everywhere while he is home to see it. He is proud of the cakes I do. I do not involve him in any of the shopping. I do as much as I can while he is at work.

My hubby is in a word, wonderful! He is not only supportive, he is always bragging to others SO much, he gets me lots of orders for cakes! He is my best advertisment! My favorite thing though, is he can come home from work, and I can have the kitchen loking like an absolute shipwreck...and he just comes in, and takes over with the cleaning up! How wonderful is THAT? He had been working a 12 hour day on his feet, and insists on helping me clean up. He's a keeper!

My husband is really supportive also. I name him vice president/financial advisor/Marketing manager and delivery guy of my little business. That is his title and he doesnt complaint. Im very thankful of his support on this and on everything else in our life.

I have just started out, but so far my hubby is being as supportive as he can be. The only downfall is that he wants all the cakes to himself!!! icon_smile.gif

My husband is very supportive of all my little hobbies...although this hobby is not so little. He loves my cakes and when I start to get so frustrated that I want to scream he can usually calm me down. I love him so much!! I agree that we should have a bumper sticker that says something about having a supportive husband...there is too much men bashing in this world.

My hubby wins the "supportive" category in my books. Not only does he cut boards, deliver cakes, and fetch whatever supplies I require at the drop of a hat, but he also has a natural talent for looking at things and coming up with brilliant suggestions. When my idea bank is dry, he looks at things from a totally different perspective and "voila!" ....problem solved. He has seen me go through some highs and lows with the cake decorating and not once lost faith in me at all. I could spend thousands on cake decorating supplies only to have him encourage me to buy more just in case! I thank God for him every day and wish everyone else the same level of support.

My husband is the best. He cuts my boards, transports cakes, drives me to new cake stores when I don't know how to get there. He talks me off the ledge when things aren't going well, and he cleans up for me all the time. He is always looking for customers for me, and a lot of my good ideas are his. He looks for stuff I might be interested in when he's out. I just couldn't have gotten any luckier.

My husband is amazing!! When he realized that I love baking, he purchased a heavy duty mixer. He NEVER complains about my purchases, and even encourages me to get what I need (as in "you seem to be in a funk, why don't you go to Peppermill (that's the baking supply store nearby)). I also think he needs his eyesight checked, since he never sees the mess in the kitchen while I'm baking, and worse, he doesn't ever see any imperfections in anything i make. The best part is when he will make supper, bathe the kids, go grocery shopping, and clean up the house (even the laundry thumbs_up.gif ) if i am in the middle of a project!! All this, and it's only a hobby... he is encouraging me to go into business, but no pressure, only if i wish....

he is really the best!!!!

When I was doing cakes regularly, my husband loved the product, but HATED the mess and the stress that it caused. He is so glad that I have stopped doing them. I can't really blame him. Our kitchen is not very big. One day maybe I'll figure out how to balance it all.
