I don't know if you all are already known about new program of food TV named "ACE Of CAKES" by "chef Duff" starts from 17th of August.
May be you are familiar with this man who always participate in Food TV Cake challenge.
You can check timings on food TV show schedule.
I think that would be an interesting program.
Thanks
Nitu
When I checked the web site yesterday the first show is Thursday 8/17 at 10:30 pm ET...hope it's good!
I'm looking forward to this one - but I'm afraid I will miss it since I forget EVERYTHING unless it's on my pocket calender. So if anybody else remembers the day before or so - would you be so kind as to post a reminder?
I am hoping Food Network does a decent show on him, targeting his cake decorating talents (maybe a little instructional segment from Duff) not just his wackiness, which we all like about him.
I will watch it because it's about cakes, and not because of Duff.
Although I like the kind of cake he blows up.. That cake probably deserves to be blown up into pieces. It's horrid .
Looking forward to watching it.

I love Duff's cakes! Check out his website from his shop, that is in my home town of Baltimore! charmcitycakes.com
He and his staff do AWSOME cakes! The website is slow to load (especially if you are one of the ten people in the world that still has DIAL UP like ME!...LOL...but I'm sure you'll agree it's well worth the wait!
I'm so excited to see his show. Its amazing that a man has a passion for decorating cakes and making them as beautiful as us women do.I think its awesome....can't wait
I think it just your connection . . . the website was quick to load for me.
the man knows cakes, there is no dobut about ti. There is just something about him that gets on my nerves though. The last thing I watched with him on it he made a comment more or less to the effect of that what he was doing was against the rules but he hoped they wouldn't notice and he was going to do what he wanted anyway. That kind of attitude drives me nuts. but he does good cake.
I watched him for the first time on the Mystery Cake Challenge. His cake was a flop. I am sure the only reason he has a show because he is goofy.I would hope we can get some real tips on cakes. not just watch him act like an idiot. He also seems a little on the dirty side to me, not sure I would want to eat on of his cakes.
aww...dont be too hard on the guy...seems he has a great pedigree...
"Duff himself studied at the Corcoran School in Washington, D.C., and was at one time a graffiti artist of some notoriety.
Duff started working for acclaimed Baltimore chef Cindy Wolf while attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. After graduating, Duff left Baltimore to study pastries at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California. While in Napa, Duff was a stagiere at the French Laundry, working under acclaimed pastry chef Steven Durfee. Duff left California to become Executive Pastry Chef of the Vail Cascade Hotel and Resort in the mountains of Vail, Colorado. There he worked with such notable chefs as Jessie Llapitan, now executive chef of the Houstonian in Houston, Texas, and chef Jason Rogers, late of Olives in Aspen and now at the Borgota of Atlantic City. Duff then left Colorado to bake bread for Todd Englishs Olives in Washington, D.C., where he worked under executive chef Steve Mannino. Duff left Olives in 2000 when he came back to Baltimore to open Charm City Cakes.... and is an all around good guy with the cleanest hands in town. "
I have to share a funny about this topic. All the posting and commenting about it made me have the weirdest dream about Duff. Not racy but may not be for kids to a degree.
The last thing I remember is being in this kitchen (I'm assuming it was "his" kitchen) and him being there and laughing and talking. I remember he was making a cake and there were a few other people there like he was showing us a private lesson or something. Then the other people were leaving and I stuck around to talk more with him. Next thing I remember is he was kissing down my neck and whispering something to me but i don't remember what. I woke up at that point.
I'm just wondering now if my husband woke up in the middle of the night wanting to get his groove on and it ruined my cake dream.
