Hi, Where are you out of.

I order from a place called Dallas foam. They custom cut any size or shape.

You need to get them from a cake shop.

Good luck

I live in Alabama. I've seen some websites that sell them but I am not so quick to buy stuff online. Are they expensive at cake shops? Thanks for your response. icon_biggrin.gif

go to your local grocery store chain and see if they'll sell them to you... independent bakeries can also order them as well. The publix by my house sells them and they are a little more expensive then if you were to order them online, but if you don't want to buy stuff online, then it's worth it, I guess. I know Dallas foam is a very safe site to shop on, so you shouldn't have any problems.

I also order from Dallas Foam and have found they have great prices and customer service. You can place an order for custom sizes, but they have a good selection of sizes available ready made. They are nice, dense white foam.

http://www.dallas-foam.com The best place for cake dummies. There's a $25 min order per their website and you get a LOT of dummies for $25! For example, a 10" round, 4" high is only $1.60.

I favor cake dummies while learning.

I'm learning. I bake. I don't decorate as well.

For the really creative cakes, the topsy turvy, turkish, top heavy bottom light and little cakes... the cake dummies just beg to be used.

I don't even bother to put plastic wrap on them. I soak them and put them in the dish washer. I've even put some in the washing machine with my silpat and rubbermaid silicon gloves. When out, I mark the dummies with a big fat X on the bottom so I know they have been used.

I also collect lots of styro stuffing sheets from furniture companies. I velcro the 30 x 20 sheet to the wall and practice my piping skills.

I like the idea of using the big sheets of stryofoam for practice. I'm a decorator at a furniture store so I have access to a bunch of it. I never would of thought of that. thumbs_up.gif
Thanks for the tip!!!
