Help!

I am new to cake deorating, and need a bit of help. Bakery cakes are so light, but when I make my cakes, they are always a bit heavy and have air holes. I think I know now how to correct the air holes, but I need a good recipe for a lighter, fluffier cake. I normally use butter in all my cakes, whether the recipe calls for it or not. I want to make a whipped cream amaretto cake, but I need a better recipe. I need some help?

Thanks,
Carol

Hi and welcome! Are you looking for scratch or doctored cake mix recipe?

Welcome to Cake Central! The only advice I can give you is.....use a store-bought cake mix! I've given up on trying to bake a light, moist cake from scratch.....Duncan Hines is great! I'm sure there are other CC members who are much better at baking from scratch than me - hopefully someone can give you some good recipes! Good luck and have fun! icon_biggrin.gif
