I wanted to make a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake for Christmas and was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to do this? I would like to make into a sheet cake. I thought this would be very appropriate for the day since we get so involved with lunch and presents and forget what this special day is really all about. I'm new to cake decorating so I will have to keep it fairly simple. If anyone has ideas I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hi SewSweetNana -

I am making 3 Happy Birthday Jesus cakes for the Knights of Columbus Youth Group Christmas Party next Sunday.

I purchased a candy mold that I can make a nativity scene on and I am doing a drawing of a candy cane and writing Happy Birthday Jesus.

I am also doing a Stacked "Christmas Tree" and putting stars and angels all around it.

And....I am doing another sheet cake with an advent wreath with real candles and will write Love, Joy, Peace Hope in each corner of the cake.

LeanLioness,
Thanks for the great ideas! They all sound wonderful. I will have to see if I can do any of this. Ha! I REALLY appreciate your help. It's just for a family gathering that I wanted to do this for, but since it is for Jesus' birthday I want to do my best!
Thanks again!
