Lace Wraps - Does anyone use them ???

I would like to know if anyone uses lace wraps, lace molds. They look so pretty but they cost a fortune. If they are worth it, I want to buy a couple. What are the thoughts out there?

i have a few of the lace pieces. My suggestion is to buy one and see if you like it, look for something that is veristile, a boarder type lace is what i use the most. I do have some that have cookie cutters to match and these i use alot when i need a unique fancy cookie that isn't available everywhere.

I wanted to get a lace impression for my latest cake but I couldn't get a lace mould or impression rolling pin etc in my area and I didn't have time to order one from somewhere else so I bought some strips of lace from the haberdashery dept of a fabric shop. I specifically choose lace that was fairly textured and it came out pretty good and was pretty cheap to buy. I layed it on top of my fondant and gently rolled over it with my rolling pin and then cut around the scalloped edges with a knife.

I am interested in what you said about the cookie cutters to match. Where did you get them? Do you have a picture?
