I recently saw where someone had made a sewing box cake in a Nick Lodge class. I know the scissors are from patchwork cutters but I was wondering about the rest of it, specifically the buttons, needles, thimbles, etc. Are these from molds? Does anyone know where I can get them?? Thank you SOO much!!!

Hi, I did that class with Nicholas Lodge. I think he made the molds for the special buttons and the thimble. You can order the molding material online at http://www.makeyourownmolds.com. It is really cool. I got some at ICES but I haven't used it yet.

To make the needle we just rolled a very thin sausage and poked a small hole for the eye. HTH
