Decorating By Darra Updated 3 Aug 2006 , 7:57am by boonenati
should i frost it first and then place on top of my finished 10" cake? how and with what?
or place it UNFROSTED on the finished 10" cake, and start decorating when it's on top? i seriously have no idea how to do this
Are you aware that you will have to put the bear on a covered cake board and dowel under him?
I have decorated that little monster on the board then placed him on the cake at the very end. You can always cover up the bear's board with "grass" or shells or anything.
yup! that's what i was trying to figure out - like how do i cover up the bits of borad that show up from underneath?
thanks a bunch!

I've also found that a very small cake circle that coveres the bear's bottom only is enough to hold it's weight. I did that with this cake, and had no problems with it, and you couldnt see the board underneath as it was very very small ; )
