cake boxes/containers for stacked cakes.

I have a question. If a customer wants a stacked cake for a birthday or shower, like a stacked castle cake, what kind of box do you use for that kind of cake. Do you deliver it, or does the customer picks it up. I've been checking on line, and found only the doll cake box that is higher than the regular cake boxes. Thanks.

have you checked sugarcraft and other cake decorating places on the web!!
i'm doing a castle this week, but don't have the proper box so i am using just a regular packing box and wrapping it in wrapping paper.

I've delived stacked cakes 16" and larger with out a box. But for the smaller sizes I just use the right size boxes and cut the lit off. So I'll have something to hold, but the top half will just not have a lid. Boxes for tied cakes are very expensive. You can see if a grocery store that does cakes will sell you some. The only companys that I've seen that have them are Bakery Crafts or DecoPac, but they only sell to businesses.

When I am transporting cake I use moving boxes. Not only that they are very sturdy, there a handle on the sides. Try it, it has not failed me yet. or I use the big Rubber Maid storage plastic boxes, then put a non slip mat (the kind you put under a rug -new one ) at the bottom..

I use the sterilite storage boxes and turn it upside down. I usually deliver it and take the container back with me or I ask the customer to return it. Hope that helps!
