Hi everyone ,
first of all I love this site and I have gotten really great ideas from it. But I really need some help. I'm putting together a cookie bouquet for the first time and I'm stuck. how do i get the cookies on the sticks to stand high. I've looked all over on line for longer cookie sticks and can't find any. Any also what foam should I get so the cookie sticks don't fall out or move around?/ thanks
rachel

Wilton sells 8" as well as 6". Everyone I've heard uses the cheap green oasis stuff.

I use the Wilton 11 inch sticks for lollipops as well as the 6 and 8 inch cookie sticks.

I use the green brick of foam that they sell at michaels or walmart. (cheeper at michaels)

I also use river rocks or those marbles to hold down the container I am putting them in. (it also adds some height)

Use the green oasis stuff for silk or dried flowers. Some people use dowel sticks. I have always just used lollipop sticks. Good Luck! Cookie bouquets are fun! Linda

I have been using skewers here lately. They come in a pack of 50 for 1-2 dollars and are sharp on one end to insert into the foam. They are usually 12 inches long or so and I use that length for the back row and them shorten the sticks for different heights coming to the front of the bouquet. I bake with the sticks in and already cut to the lenght I want.

You might want to use wooden dowling for the cookie sticks. As for what to put the sticks in, use floral foam (the kind for silk flowers).
