I vote stack - but I'm traditional.

I vote side by side--so you don't have to worry about having enough cake. If you stacked them and the slices were cut to big, you may not have enough.

I agree with side by side - if stacked you won't get 80 slices.

Trent,

It depends on your function, difference in your cakes, and your area. You can stack then cut top layer first. Being that it is for 80, I would put them side by side and tie them together with the decorations. This would definitely be the way to go if your cakes were different icings or different cakes. You would want to mark the cake board as to which was which as well. It really comes down to the cake and it's purpose.

I vote for stacked only because of the edible image. If the image is meant to be a large part of the cake deco, I think it'd look small if the cakes were side by side.

I vote for side by side but you must keep in mind the amount of space on the table where it is going to be and if you have a box and cake board big enough for it. I have a box and cake board that I have covered with contact paper and I keep having the customers return them to be because I custom made the box as it was very hard to get one big enough for two 12x18s side by side.
