I do sheet cakes all the time, but this is the one that get the most attention. Lots of mine are "boring" to me, but were what the customer wanted. Here goes:

I do alot of sheet cakes but so far this is my favorite. It was inspired by another CC'ers tiered cake. I don't mind sheet cakes as I just try to make them fun and best of all - no stacking!!

What a great post. I cant wait to have time to go through it all bc I am not a fan in general of sheets so to see what others can do to make them amazing is great. Thanks all for sharing!!

This is my all time favorite sheet cake I have made and I have made a LOT!!! I used to think they were boring as well until I started playing with the borders. There are tons here on CC that were an inspiration to me to try unique borders for my sheet cakes!!!

Such an inspirational thread! There are definitely some creative minds here.

I have only done a few sheet-type cakes and here's one of my favorites:

what awesome cakes, I love this thread for inspiration and new ways to appreciate all cakes, not just the stacked ones, or pillared or 2d. There is arrt in all cake...just look at what we can do!

In that case, with a thread like this, no one should comment on how cool the topic is. When I open my email, like others, I expect to see others favorite sheet cakes, not comments on others favorites and how cool the thread it.

This was my first and only sheet cake so far. I was proud of it. It is definately not as good as all the ones you have posted here though!
