I get mine from Sugarcraft...I only live a mile or so from the store so I go directly there, but they have a great website too.

I have a question I just went to Sugarcraft and bought the hi-ratio shortening, do you substitute it in the exact same amount as a recipe calls for or do you use less?

I used less, but more than they said to use. I think it said one cup and I used one cup and a little more and it came out nice

From what I've read, you are suppose to use less hi-ratio shortening then you would use Crisco. The recipe that I have uses 1 cup hi-ratio shortening to 7 cups powdered sugar. If you are having trouble finding it, I would recommend asking your local grocery store if they can order it for you. We were able to get our grocery store to order a 50 lbs. box of Sweetex from GFS for $58!
