I have read lots about charging people a base fee and then additional charges for add in like fondant, filling etc. What is your fee for gumpaste roses on a cake?

The bakeries in town only do buttercream roses for a regular cake order. They may use gumpaste roses on a wedding cake. But what if your customer wants gumpaste roses for a anniversary cake?

I've been thinking about this too. I think what I may do is make 3 different sizes and come up with a price. For instance, small - $2, medium $3.50, large $5. Something like that. Hope this helps.

I would have charged around $1 per rose. I would figure they would want 6+ roses on the cake and then the fee of $6 isn't too high. If they only wanted 1 or 2 roses, then I'd up it to $2 each to account for the time spent.

How long does it take you to make the roses?
