I have a batch of No Fail cookies in the freezer right now that I need for next saturday I will be decorating them with MMF and Royal icing accents my questions are...

1. How do I defrost them?
2. Do I defrost them before decorating them?
3. How long & where do I let the decorated cookies dry?
4. Do I refreeze them after decorating or where do I store them?
5> When should I start decorating?

Sorry for all the questions but this is the first time I made cookies and I want these to be perfect. I would hate to ruina good batch of cookies (40).

Please help
Thanks
Jackie

Personally what i would do is cut out all the fondant pieces for your cookies, wrap in plastic wrap, then a zip lock, then tupperware.

Then take the cookies out of the freezer, let them thaw as is, shouldn't take long, then make your royal and set aside covered and ready to go.

Get covering with already cut pieces of fondant (should move right along), by the time you run out of spots to put them, the first ones should be ready for the royal, get piping, by the time your done piping the first ones will be ready to bag.

I wouldn't refreeze, all i would do is box the finished pieces and set aside. As far as when to start, it would really depend on how many you have to do. Cookies, can take awhile, so you might need a day or two to get all done, for me one day would be cutting the fondant the next would be finishing up the cookies, but of course that schedule may have to change depending on the amount of cookies doing. And how fast you can work.
