My daughter wants a choc cake with pb icing for her hs graduation party. I was planning on making her a tiered cake. Does anyone have a peanut butter icing recipe that decorates well? Thank you in advance.

I LOVE this one. You can frost and pipe with it but I've never tried anything else. It tastes delicious though! When I use it in between layers I slice small reeses cups and layer them between, it's awesome.
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 smooth peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat the butter and peanut butter until smooth gradually add sugar and milk add vanilla.
I hope you like it!

If you add a little bit of salt to a peanut butter buttercream, it makes the flavor 'pop' a bit more.

I used this recipe from the site for my mother's 60th BD cake last July....

http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-877-Peanut-Butter-Frosting.html

Gosh it was yummy. It has a nice color too..it's in my gallery if you wanna see it. It's on page two, second row...called Sea Shell Cake for 60th.

Good luck (with not licking your fingers while you decorate that is...I'm tellin' ya....mmmmmmmmmmm)

I have one I use as a filling, but if you tripled the amounts it might work for icing a cake as well. It is really delicious.

Wow gotta try a peanut butter frosting. They all sound so great. Hmm maybe just make the frosting now without a cake...lol...MMMM
