Which is the best way to attach a decorated cookie to a lollipop stick? I am making a basket cake with cookie flowers. I baked and decorate my cookies yesterday. Now I am wondering.......should I attach them with royal icing....I've read in wilton's page that also candy melts work...

I don't want them to fall off the sticks...please help!!

either works...which do you have handy?

melts harden quickly and soften in heat!!! (like we are having now!!!)

royal takes a while.

I have both.

The cake is for tomorrow at 10:00 am.
Do you think royal will be dry for tomorrow morning?

royal...might be depending upon humidity. and usual trick of putting in very low (150) oven would dry out cookies.

and chocolate could melt in this heat.

drat...not sure what to advise

depends upon local weather conditions and where this cookie bouquet is going.

It worked!

I attached the cookies to the lollipop sticks yersterday morning and today they were totally dry. My client just came to get the cake a while ago and she loved it. I just post a picture of it.
