I don't have a picture but I always used marshmallows and covered them with stars. Just an idea.

Not sure if you mean the whole bootie is buttercream or it is covered in buttercream. I make my booties out of 1 and a half cupcakes, 1 whole cupcake for the top part of the bootie and a half cupcake cut horizontally with a 1/4 cut off vertically to fit up to the whole one for the toe part of the bootie (hope this makes sense) then I ice with buttercream in stars or other tips.

I have booties that I did in my photos. I made a pattern for the bottom half - an oval and a circle for the top and then "glued" them together with icing. I used the star tip for the whole thing and than decorated them with the color of choice.

Hope I could help.

If you got to wilton.com and click on the "decorating techniques" link, and then click on the "basic decorating technique", you'll see a link that says "baby booties" and it has instructions on how to do them.
