Ok I'm kind of ashamed to post my cookie after seeing all the great ones everyone else has done.

My cookie is based on something commonly seen before weddings.

That is a fantastic bridezilla cookie.

From now on, when dealing with a bridezilla, you should just give her the cookie when you turn down her business. The cookie says it all!!

Okay, so I finally got up the nerve to post a picture for the cookie club.
This is a cookie favor (have to make 400 of them). It is an asian theme and the color red of course and the double happiness chinese character, popular at chinese weddings.
Sugar cookies, with Antonia74 icing, character is made freehand with white chocolate and painted with gold luster dust.

thanks everyone.
She is having 2 receptions, one chinese and one western. July 7th a& 8th. ugh. Just received an email from the bride and now she wants me to do some samples up in chocolate cookies instead.
I'm making up all the chinese characters in advance. You'd all scream at me if you knew what I charged her. icon_cry.gif
If it's okay with everyone, I'll post the chocolate ones later tonight.

Now you have me curious what you charged. I am hoping it is no less than $200. That would be 50 cents a cookie, which is cheap for all of that work. I don't know what size the cookies are.....they look fairly small though, but the detail work has to take you forever!

freddyfl - nope, definately more than that.. I actually am getting $600 for 400. A measly $1.50 each. They are 3" cookies. I would normally charge double that, but I really wanted to get my name out into the asian market, so I gave her 50% off.
She's been pushing it abit with me though, changing colors and designs and now flavors. Hopefully it will all work out in the end though.

Ok, this is my first time posting a pic. in the cookie club. I made 125 cookies for my sons Godmother shower. They were a big hit! People loved them. They actually thought I was a baker, what an honor. It's made out of NFSC (the best), with fondant flowers and royal icing.

Welcome to the club, my2boys. Great wedding dress cookies. I hope you get a lot of business from these cookies.

@ IdoWeddingCookies

Wonderful work, they are perfect your calligraphy is spot on, but even though you are trying to get into the Asian community, do not let the bride walk all over you. no way will she find something that beautiful anywhere else, but usually, chinese couples are used to going all out for the wedding. A lot of times they put themselves into debt for them, cause they spend so much money. And they will tell the others how cheap you were, how much you were paid, so beware. At least here in Asia, they are not hesitant to ask the price of things and pass along that info as well. We had to really get used to that. I don't know whether or not that applies to your couple, but it's something you should keep in the back of your mind.
