Icing sugar is just another name for powdered sugar. It is sometimes also called 10x sugar.
or confectioners sugar
and just a little VENT HERE! It would seem that up here in Canada anyway, Rogers has the monopoly on sugar. Does anyone else think that's a bit F***ED UP that you can only buy one brand of sugar and it's FRIGGIN expensive to boot? LOL
I don't like buying things in small bags either and that's all icing sugar comes in.
Lucky I found a weird brand way cheaper at Walmart yesterday! But it comes in ONE pound bags, so if I want to stock up then I have to buy a kajillion bags LOL
Any other brands out there taht you buy or sources to buy it by the caselot instead?
Can you ask at a bakery if you can buy large amounts through them? You never know until you ask!! Even a restaurant use wholesale companies and may be willing to order for you???
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
I thought that the C&H powdered sugar I buy at the store was 10x ........
it is, it's been sifted 10 times.
