I know for cake decorators this is a "must have" tool, but I decorate cookies and am wondering if I might find this a useful tool for that purpose. I use a glaze frosting that sets up hard w/in 24 hours. Does anyone have any recommendations on whether this would work for me, and what kinds of things I might be able to do. Do these work well with stencils, or do the colors run underneath the stencil? Do they shoot out a color mist? Are they easy to work with? Also, Winbeckler recommends the Aztek 470 on their website ... do others concur that this is the best one to invest in. I would appreciate any advice out there!!

-You might have trouble airbrushing if you are using a shiny glaze. I've used it on royal icing that wasn't slick and it worked well. If the surface is really smooth, it will probably look blotchy and not dark enough.
-Yes, you can use & make stencils. It will run under the stencil if you overspray an area or don't hold it down well.
-The color comes out when you press the trigger. They take practice, but I couldn't live without mine.
-I don't know anything about the Aztek. I have a lot of experience with Badger and love it. I recommend a double action gravity feed with small cup on top.
