I was in the grocery store and sudenly wanted to make a cocanut cake so I got the mix and tried to get everything I thaught might go in the frosting, but I think I fell short, heres what I have...

flaked coconut
sweetened condensed milk
sour cream
powdered sugar
reg sugar
crisco and butter of course

no cream of tarter, no cool whip, no cream cheese...

I guess I can wait till tomorow, but I really would liketo make it tonight, was just wondering...
thanks
Val

What about coconut milk, or the thicker coconut creme instead of the sweetened condensed milk?

Here I'm giving away my secret weapon but I make my coconut icing out of the regular half butter half crisco recipe, I add 2 cups of shredded coconut (you should probably put this through the food processor for a minute to knock down the stringy-ness) and thin it with coconut milk instead of regular milk.
