A super easy one (and people are impressed you can not tell it is so easy) is to stack ice cream sandwiches (oh and the hard part - don't forget to take off the wrapers) side to side (I usually go about six across) and then 'fillling' of cool whip and add another layer then 'frost ' entire 'cake' with cool whip - sprinkle crushed cookies or toffee/heath bars or MMs etc on top (and you can put them between the layers and sprinkle crushed candy/cookies too)

No-Bake Cheesecake

Ingredients:

Crust
4 oz. butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3 oz. sugar

Filling
24 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese
2 1/2 cans Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
6 oz. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation
Crust: Melt butter in saucepan. Place cracker crumbs and sugar in mixing bowl. Add melted butter. Mix well. Place crust mixture into 10-inch spring form pan. Spread evenly. Pack down firmly.

Filling: Whip cream cheese until soft and smooth, using electric mixer. Add condensed milk and blend until very smooth. With spatula, blend in lemon juice and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed. Pour blended mixture into spring-form pan and smooth top with spatula.

Place in refrigerator (8 hours until firm).

Serve with fresh fruit topping (example: strawberries marinated in icing sugar and any liquer, such as Grand Marnier or Amaretto).

However, it's just great plain!

koolaid pie

1 16 oz container cool whip
1 pkg unsweetened kool-aid
1 premade graham craker pie crust

set aside 1/2 cup (4 oz) cool whip for granish)

add kool-aid to remaining cool whip (12 oz.)..and stir well
put in to pie crust and smooth
garnish w/ remaining cool whip

for more intense flavor use only 8oz of cool-whip instead of 12 oz to make the filling.

fun comes in flavors you use.
i've made both lemon and lime separately -- tho' in this case you may want to try a double batch for two lemon-lime pies.

I've also had strawberry flavored (yum!)
and I bet cherry would work too

remember though that some koolaid flavors are a different color when you mix them, my favorite koolaid is tropical punch and its blue as a powder, red as a drink. I dont know if some of the others do that, but I would hat for you to need a blue pie, and it turn out red icon_biggrin.gif

this is beginning to sound like a mid-west lutheran church BBQ...jello molds in all the proper liturgical colors (arranged in proper church year order too!) and I can make fun of that having grown up lutheran in central illinois and made more than a few jello molds!)

hmmmm...
so we can do watermellon kool-aid
berry kool-aid
tropical punch kool-aid (ick--never liked that stuff)
what's the flavor of the "no-color" kool-aid...an all white pie?!

(the colors aren't all that intense when mixed w/ the cool whip -- very light pastel)

They used to have a mystery flavor that was clear, but I think what your talking about is lemon ice...

How about sparkling dump cake:

1 can pie filling
1 box cake mix
1 can lemon lime soda

In a greased cassorole dish, spread pie filling into the bottom. Sprinkle cake mix over top of pie filling. Pour soad over the cake mix (DO NOT MIX). And bake it until golden brown. Very yummy icon_smile.gif

my verison substitues one stick of butter in tiny pieces scattered on the cake for the lemon-lime soda...

equally yummy!

Yeah, the traditional dump cake uses butter. The nice thing about using the soda is that it has a nice flavor to it without all the fat from the butter. Both are very good though, and it could be served warm with ice cream.

sometimes i think God put all the good food on earth so us poor people who can't go yachting can enjoy the good things in life. Good food, good friends, good drinks, what else can you ask for.
