Has anyone that has a "legal" business ever been asked about your insurance . . . do you have any, etc, from a vendor, a customer, etc? With a regular bakery we assume that they have liabililty insurance but with a small home based business that may not be the case. Just wondering. . .

I have been asked a couple of times. Once, a venue where I was providing the cake asked. the other time, it was the Saturday Market.

Both required copies of the liability policy.

take a look at discussion here: http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=32139&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0

and I got my liability insurance as a rider on my regular homeowners insurance.

not worth risk of law suit not to have it.

I asked my homeowners people and they said they couldn't do it. Further, if I have an issue that would normally be covered under homeowners, but occurred while I was baking a cake for sale, then it would not be covered. Scary. So I have to hunt for someone who covers businesses. Anybody got any ideas?
