OMG!!!! Got an order for 92 lbs cookies!!!

I'm so excited, I just got an order for 92 lbs. cookies for a graduation ceremony. It's a LOT of work, but this can help me get my name out there big time. Probably would have to hire my teenagers so I could finish them on time. Yes you read right "Hire". I doubt that if I don't offer any money they be willing to help. icon_lol.gif

I would like to know how many cookies that would be. I'm getting ready today to make 55 cookies and I am thinking how long this is going to take me and I am in no mood for this. But I do have a week to get them done. What time frame are you looking at/? lol

Congrats on your order. I know what you mean about hiring your kids. That's actually a great idea in the long run. BTW..are they decorated cookies? icon_surprised.gif

That is great! Dough and cookies that can be made ahead of time and frozen-then baked off. I was skeptical about this until one weekend I had no choice but to freeze and then bake.WORKED OUT WONDERFULLY!!!

Well, I make about 100 cookies per kilogram so I'm thinking 4200 cookies give or take plus the burnt ones (I always burn a couple of them). They are not decorated, it's what we call bizcochitos or like Mexican Wedding Cakes. I made them in 4 flavors, almond, pecan, butter and brown sugar shortbread. They would be 84 plates with 500 grams (a little more than 1 lb) on each, just like the picture. And they're for June 25th so I got plenty of time. Last Christmas we made about 70 lbs in about 7 days, so this wont be that hard.

Depends on the size of the cookies and the type of cookie.

¡FELICIDADES! That is a lot of cookies but teenagers are always willing to help...for money. Just like mine, I have to pay them to take a shower. Happy baking!
