Can't figure out my Pasta Perfetto Pasta Maker

I bought a used pasta maker at a yard sale and was excited to use it for fondant, but Can't figure it out. It has the mixer inside and the instructions indicate that the pasta dough cannot be reinserted after it's extruded.
So I guess that means it won't work for my fondant?? Because it's already dough when I put it in.
I put fondant in and it just mixes around and won't squeeze out?
The motor may have blew because the mixer isn't turning at all now.
Help! It is a Pasta Perfetto No.900 made by Vitantonio, has anyone used one?

It sounds like you got an actual pasta maker, that makes the dough and extrudes it into shapes (spaghetti, elbows, etc).

What most folks are using for fondant is a pasta roller, which takes the already-made dough and rolls it into thin sheets.

Does yours have rollers, or just a place to put a die (like a cookie press die) that shapes the dough?

Yes it's a dough maker it gives recipes and instructions how to put in flour and egg for the pasta dough. But it also has enterchangable discs for spaghetti, linguini and different shapes, so I thought it might work with fondant. The instructions seem like the pasta dough must be a certain consistency, so maybe it won't work for me.
What do you think?

I don't have that much experience with fondant, but I did have a pasta machine similar to that years ago. The pasta was good, but it was a bit rough coming out of the dies, which was fine for pasta, but might not be so good for fondant.

Also, I'm not sure the consistency of fondant will work in the machine.

Maybe someone else with more fondant experience will chime in, but IMO you might be better off using that one to make pasta! icon_surprised.gif

I think you're right Laura!
I'm only out $2, so it was worth a shot.
Thanks for the info.
