I'll be going too. I only live about 10 minutes away and go 2 or 3 times during the event. Like everyone else, I always overspend.

I plan on going! I'm hopeful to set up babysitting with my inlaws to go once in the first couple of days, and then again near the end. This is my first time attending, since I've only been decorating cakes for a short time, and I'm very excited. I've been making a list for weeks! (My theory is that if I stick to my list I won't buy things I don't need- yeah, right. icon_razz.gif )

I'm very jealous too!! I would love to go. Where in Illinois and when is it?? I have family in Illinois. Since my Husband died a few years ago and the kids are off in college, I need to cut conners as much as I can. I find I love this cake decorating and really want to get good at it. I stay up late reading what I can and I just love this club. It is the best I have seen, Thanks Guys for all your help (smile)

I am sooooooo there! Probably going on June 5th.

I went for the first time last year and was in awe. Me and my fiance even have a system. Since it is so crowded he stays with the cart and then I got around and shop and then put stuff in. It gets so crowded that we cant really move down the aisles together.

My suggestions, go with a good credit card and dont look back!
Also, make sure you know the prices of things and if you can get them cheaper at a local store. I know that Wilton offers an awesome discount so its worthwhile.

I think its neat that they have other stuff there that Wilton makes too and not just the baking stuff.

See all you bakers there!

I was wondering where actually in Illinois it is? Is it at their headquarters? I'm in southwest Michigan and I'm wondering if it's worth the gas money to go. Money is sorta tight since we just had our wedding two weeks ago!

The sale is located at their headquarters in Woodridge, IL. It's right off of I-355 at the 75th street exit. They do have great bargains. Most everything is at least 40% off. They also have their other brand items for sale, kitchenware, photo frames, etc. The only problem I find, is I go planning to spend a certain amount and always spend more than I plan. Here's the link to the announcement

Not fair, I am so envious, wish I could attend I would go crazy buying. I can't buy Wilton on their on line shop as they don't ship to Australia, and the suppliers they have here don't stock all the range and if they do items are very expensive. I hope you all have a wonderful time

I am going! Actually, first I lined up a sitter for Friday during the day, only to discover that the sale doesn't start until 4:30pm Friday. Doh! (But do you think I am giving up that sitter??? HECK NO! Looks like I'm going to have some free time! heh heh!!) Then, hopefully Saturday I'll get hubby to stay home with the kidlets so I can make the 'Wilton trek'.
