My mom always use to tell me when I was down about something, "just look over your shoulder. There are others much worse off than you are." And you know, she's right .. I've passed this own to my daughter, who deals with depression at times. When I tell her this, she gets angry but later comes back to tell me that she has seen someone in worse condition than she's ever been and how she felt bad for thinking her situation was not so good ... Long story short, I know things look bleek, but God closes a door, only to open a window... he has a plan for your husband's life as he does for all of us.. you may not see it now because of the clouds of situation presently in your lives, but these clouds are only temporary .. the sun will shine again; your husband will find another job .. always believe this icon_smile.gif remember, we're all here for you icon_smile.gif

I'm so sorry this happened to you. That happened to us a couple years ago, Dh lost his job one day, out of the blue, and we ended up having to move, but now he has a job making way more than he did before, where his bosses all love him and he is near the top of the ladder already.

Just hang in there and I hope that something else comes up very soon.

Hi Ashiana! I have been there and I know the feelings, but as I looked towards God, He made it plain to me that "No good thing He will withhold from me if I just only look to Him" It might seem impossible right now, "but with God all things are possible" Matt. 19:26. I remember when my unemployement was running out and I had an apartment to take care of and ulitilies to pay for and no health insurance and was almost evicted from my apartment cause I had come up short in my rent, but God saw my needs and help was on its way that when I went to court, the rent had already been paid and the judge said to the superintendent that next time when a settlement is reached don't bother to come into the court room. I was pleased with the outcome and from that point on God demonstrated what He was able and can do for me. Ashiana and Hubby, just be encouraged and know that God knows all about what you are going through and this is just a hurdle for you to take a leap of faith over that hurdle knowing that there is a blessing awaiting for you on the other side. Keep the Faith and look up with a Smile cause there is a blessing awaiting for you on the other side.

Ashiana, I think it is really wonderful that you and hubby can start off with a positive attitude. Good for you for rising to the challenge! It will make all the difference in the world.

Since your not going on the anniversary trip...... can you come to the DOS? Just joking & trying to make you laugh!! icon_lol.gif

My hubby got out of active duty AF in 1992 because of Clinton cutting back on troops. thumbsdown.gif We had to start over. He worked at a maxium security prison for 6 mths then was hired at a Sunbeam/Oster plant so he quit the prison. I was so happy for that because it was a very dangerous job at the prison. He was at Sunbeam for 6 years then Sunbeam closed down. He worked at a papermill plant for 6 wks & it liked to have killed him. None of those jobs were in God's plans! He was hired 6 wks later at the AF base in Bossier!! He is now in the Civil Service there & also in the AF Reserves. He loves his job & it keeps us fed & clothes on our backs. We are surely blessed!! We always look back at those hard times & wonder how we got through them. Well I am happy to say we both know how! God was helping us all the way!

We still get in some binds from time to time. God always helps us through! So hold tight to your faith & everything will be ok. Thank God for all your blessings even the small ones.

I'll be praying for you & your family. Hang in there!

My husband went on an interview on friday and he started his new job today. He has a higher postition with less work

There's always a silver lining in those dark clouds, it's just whether or not you see it to find it.

Prayer with faith is an awesome thing, isn't it? b I know in my own life that God has given me many hurdles to jump but I have always found the blessings He had in store for me with each hurdle. It's to the point where I know that I don't even have to ask because I know He has me and my family covered. Don't get me wrong though... I may not have to ask, but I usre like to give thanks and praise!
