I got an order for a cake for a church (pastor's anniversary) to feed 50-60. The customer gave me free reign to do whatever I want. I really don't want to do a sheet cake this large. I'd like to do a stacked cake, but I don't want it to look like I'm trying to do a wedding cake. Plus the biggest pans I have are 10 inch and I'd really rather not buy bigger ones right now, because I'm mostly a hobbyist and orders are few and far between. Any suggestions?

You could do a 6/8/10 stacked combo and get 50 party servings, more if they cut wedding size serving. If they needed more servings then you could make an extra 8in (15 extra serves) or you could make 2 6in satillite cakes(20 extra serves). Just depends on how many they really need to feed and how many they want to pay for.
