I just finished this cake. I used to make the almond cream cheese pound cake from the CMD. That recipe called for the DH Golden butter recipe. But I used a DH white cake mix. Anyway, Here's my recipe.. DH white cake mix.....1/2 cup sugar....1/2 cup milk.....1/2 cup oil.... 8 ounces of cream cheese....4 T melted butter..... 4 eggs.....1 teas. almond ext. and 2 teas. vanilla. ( I used clear). Baked in two 9 in pans. 35 min. @350. After baking I glazed with apricot preserves that I microwaved, between layers, then iced with buttercream. This cake would be great for a wedding cake. The layers were not too yellow from the whole eggs, I quess because of the cream cheese. Girls, you just have to try this. It is just yummy!
Oh, after I glazed between the layers I iced over that with a little buttercream. So you could see the apricot mixed with the buttercream when you cut into it. YUM, YUM!
