I only tried one only to find out that I had messed it up!!!! 
I forgot the sugar. I tried the perfect pound cake that appears at the beggining of the book.
I have to admit though that I don't really care for the texture of cake flour which she uses all throughout her book... However, she did give you in the back of the book a way substitute for it, so I will do that next time.
It is a very thorough book although a bit expensive.
My husband bought it for me for my birthday.
