I have been asked to do a simple 2-3 tier wedding cake with a touch of gold for a 50th wedding anniversary. For starters...I have never done a tier wedding cake...WC 3 final project actually due tonight...see how that goes. Any ideas on how to decorate...looked at the anniversary photo gallery, but nothing jumped out at me. How would I do maybe roses with golden edges? Any advice? Greatly appreciated. If you have pictures to send/attach...that would be awesome!
I am getting ready to do a graduation cake using a bct of the schools graduation announcement. I have practiced with various techniques regarding the gold. The best that I have found is gold dust. I bought fine tip paint brushes, dipped the brush in vanilla and then in the gold dust. Practice a little with your "touch" and it should work well. I will post a picture tomorrow of my completed project.
Good luck and hope that this helps.
