Toasted Butter Pecan Cake

I just made this cake last night and wondered if anyone else had. I found one mistake in the recipe. In the list of ingredients it called for baking powder and in the instructions at the bottom it called for baking soda instead of powder. Not understanding the science of baking i used soda and still don't know if that was the right choice lol. Anyway, it still tastes good just a lil dry and wondered if anybody had any suggestions on what to do to make it a lil more moist.
