Does anyone have a recipe for this? I was thinking of making the toll house cake, since I'm just making a non-decorated cake for dinner, drizzled with a boiled chocolate peanut butter frosting, but I thought this would be a good time to try out a good chocolate chip cake recipe I can use for decorating. TIA

I know you said from scratch, but this is a link to one on the Duncan Hines site. It got good reviews...

I just found this too and I recently made a chocolate chip cake from scratch using the Whimsical Bakehouse Book. It was WONDERFUL!!! I'm making it again this weekend for a baby shower and I'll be filling it with chocolate ganache and frosting it with the IMB that is also in the book.
