Hi I'm new here, and attempting my first Buttercream transfer. I think I understand that you put wax paper over the image, and trace/draw it in frosting - correct? Then freeze?
My question is, are you then able to peel the image off the wax paper and place it right side up on the cake? Or do you have to flip it over and it will then be upside down? I hope I'm explaining this correctly - I have to decided if I need to reverse the image or not.
Thanks so much!
Hi. When you make the image you want to use-print it in reverse. Then you use the wax paper to trace on with the icing. Throw it in the freezer for 90 minutes(or until you arre ready to use it). When you are ready to use it, you flip it out onto the cake and it will be right side up. I hope I explained everything to you.

I haven't done one yet, however, remember to reverse your image so that it will come out like your picture when you place it on the cake.. I've done transfers using clear gel on wax paper, turning over onto the cake and then filling in.. I read somewhere that if you have a piece of plexiglass and can put your wax paper on top of it, you can lift this and see how your transfer looks .. you can see if you have in gaps you can pat down and fill them in ... I have a piece of plexiglass and plan to try mine like that
