I am sooooooo sorry to ask this question because I am sure it has been asking a gazillion times - How long does royal icing stay good? I always make too much and have alot left over. Btw - it is already colored. TIA

My colored Royal tends to get watery and break down some - I just throw it out when I am finished making that days cookies. I have used it next day but it is glaze instead of icing............

It will last about 3 weeks but you must stir it up every 4 days and have a layer of saran wrap on top to stop[ crusting/ and leave it out of the fridge otherwise it gets shiny. Every time I restir I put clean saran wrap and a tupperware lid.
