Wow - the cookies this month are great !
Koz - love your cookies, and reference to your 'icing concotion'

Aligomatti - love the 'puzzle' look - so creative!

Southaustingirl - your 'scenes' are wonderful - especially like the blue one.

And I love everyone's suns - all could be described the same way, yet each person had a uniquie approach (mmm ...may need to include a sun with shades in mine!)

Can't wait to see more fun and sun at the beach! I will try and get mine in soon!

The yellow bikini is royal icing with fondant flowers. The tye-dye bikini is colored with gel food coloring (Wilton brand). I dipped a small piece of sponge in vodka, then the coloring to make the tye-dye effect.

Where is everyone getting the flip flop cookie cutter? ALso, I am looking for a one piece bathing suit.

southaustingirl I just used the foot cutter for my flip flop. Or one of the ones in my gallery I just hand carved out. Don't know about the bathing suit, sorry.

Someone in the gallery used an upside-down tooth cutter for a one-piece swimming suit. It was really cute. Course, I haven't come across a tooth cookie cutter in my travels either. icon_redface.gif

Kos- On www.cookiecutter.com, they have a tooth cookie cutter and at a great price too. Just some info in case you ever need that tooth cutter! LOL.

Southaustingirl- If you find that picture that Kos suggested (the tooth one piece bathing suit), then you could try that website I mentioned above for the cutter. Have fun! icon_smile.gif

mis: I love your cookie castle, it's funny, I had a similar idea planned. I'll have to come up with something else. I'll be leaving for Mexico soon and maybe I'll get other inspiration.....

aligotmatt: I LOVE YOUR COOKIES! They are so cute, I like how you played with the cutter shapes.

I really enjoy looking at everyone's entries, they are all sooooo good. I hope to make mine when I get back.

Thanks mis, maybe I'll still do it. I was thinking of covering it with brown sugar and using this cinderella castle I have. I can't wait to do them (after my trip).

Here are part of my beach theme cookies -

No Fail cooies and royal icing and some parils- nothing fancy just some beach fun - and a sun with glasses to join the theme!

Love the ice cream cones coffeecake! I want to lick that melting ice creams so bad! icon_lol.gif I love that detail!

Is the sunglass cutter from William Sonoma? I have that cutter and wasn't able to save a single cookie. They all broke. icon_cool.gif Your cookies look great.

I'm anxiously awaiting to see to August's "Bug" month!
