Hello cookie makers!
THE BEACH will be July's Cookie Club theme. So start creating cookies about things you see/do/find at the beach.
Just to refresh your memory, here are the "guidelines" for the cookie club posts (from Cake_Princess' original post):
* the group decided that all pictures must be new pictures (and new cookies). Meaning if you have a previous group of cookies already in your album (or in the forum) even if it depicts the theme you cannot use it. The idea of the monthly theme is to get our creative juices/new ideas flowing.
* Please do not post monthly theme cookies to your personal album or cookie Gallery until after the monthly theme has expired. The reason for this is, as a group we all decided each picture must be new and not previously uploaded to the Galleries. Seeing that we have no way of knowing when pictures were uploaded this will help to prevent any squabbles about people using previously uploaded pictures.
* You can use any medium to decorate your cookies. Fondant, royal icing, buttercream etc. The only stipulation is it has to be a medium used in cookie or cake decorating. So no play doh!!
* Please post pictures in this thread (Do not create a separate thread for your pics). Maximum of 3 pictures per person. You may however use graphics programs to create ONE collage of different pics/angles.
* In your post please let us know which medium you used to decorate your Cookies. Also, if you could please let us know why you chose the design you did if the reason is not obvious. (For Example if the theme was Music and you made ghost cookies then let us know the connection. Ghost = Phantom and Phantom of the opera relates to music).
Happy Baking, everyone! I cant wait to see the results!!

Okay, here are my entries for July. They are Wilton's roll-out cookie recipe with a concoction icing -a little butter, a little corn syrup, a little vanilla, a drop or two of water, and powder sugar. I wanted to get my cookies done early since I'll be pretty busy the month of July. I went with scuba gear and a sand-pail and shovel. I borrowed the idea of using the heart cutter for flip-flops and used them for scuba fins instead. I don't scuba dive so the fins are probably all wrong.
Have a Happy 4th!! Be safe!

Holy KOS, you did a Really good job with the cookies. Eager beaver you are too. Cookies already made and submitted....
I LOVE BOTH SETS!!!!!! I don't scuba either but they look good to me!! Good Luck KOS

Those are adorable! I scuba dive and those are a nice representation of fins, so no worries There are all different styles depending on what type of water your in or what type of diving you're doing. That set would be perfect for a leasure snorkel trip

KOS, those are AWESOME!! I am so inspired. I can't wait to work on mine now, I have it narrowed down to 3 ideas so far. I guess it will just depend on which ones look the best when I finish. LOL
WOW! Those look great! And with a concoction icing too?! Man, I'm gonna have to step up my game... LOL. What I was thinking of doing pails(sp?) in comparison to those awesome cookies!
Those look great, Kos! Man, I have no idea what I am going to do yet but excited, nonetheless! Happy decorating, y'all!
Way to go KOS!
You're so fast!!! I haven't even decided what I'm going to make yet, and you've already finished great cookies!!
Kos inspired me to get mine done. It was such fun! They are not exactly how I planned (the lounge chair/beach towel...just couldn't get that right ) Anyway, when I think of the beach, I think of relaxation. So, I did palm trees, sandy beaches absent of ppl , my flip flops, and what was supposed to be a lounge chair.
Great work so far guys.
OK I guess I should go in to the office now. 9:12 suppose to be there for 9. Hmmm the upside is I will be there before 10.
See ya'll later. Maybe I will log in if I get bored.
Yjudania, great cookies! I think the beach scene cookie is my favorite, I like the beach best when it's empty too. LOL
Thanks for the kind words guys. I felt like I had to get my cookies done early since I was almost late with June's.
Yjudania-- Love the beach cookies. Looks so serene, yet delicious! Great job.
Zamode?? You back from vacation or still on strike?

That is really cool! I love to see people use cutters in different ways! Are your sand castles the tulip cutter? Very clever!!

Yes they are! I just cut the stems off. The sand is crushed graham crackers that I stuck to the royal icing.

Hey Kos! Just got back yesterday. My SIL still has my cookie sheets from the 78 roses I did (didn't know how to get them to her) so now I have another excuse not to bake.
You guys..your cookies are fabulous...I have been keeping up even though I have not had 5 secs to participate. You are all truly an inspiration!
So I have taken the month of July off to relax play with the kids and go on a trip home to Atlanta. BUT....I keep pondering cookies I want to make or cakes to try! Apparently this is what an addiction is says my DH. I prefer PASSION!
Anyway...here is my July post.
The cookies are butter, with a royal icing. The Sun (lily cutter) has royal icing glasses and a edible pen mouth. The stars are fondant. Next time I think I will add the stars after the flow icing has slightly dried only so they will perfhaps sink in a bit and not look so "atttached"
Have a great month.
Julia
Awesome cookies everyone!!
Love the different styles.
southaustingirl-- I need details! What's on you bathing suit cookies and is that a pattern on the yellow bikini? Too cute!
What a great theme July has been. I'm really enjoying these!
