Okay, first let me preface by saying that I am tired of feeling guilty that every cake I do has to be a tiered elaborately decorated piece. With that being said, I have dug out my CMD that I have had for 6 months and never used and am starting to make my way through it making the cakes and frosting and just doing plain ol fashioned cakes.
That being said, I tried the spice applesauce cake, made 2, one for us, one for the new neighbors) Did them in a bundt , took them out of the oven to cool at 7pm and then went to lay down for a few hours before I went in to work the night shift. Leaving DH to watch my adorable 3 yo boys.
Pix #1 is the offending party

Pix #2 is the offended cake,

cake #2 was to far back for them to reach,
I shouldve taken them downstairs to my cake room to cool, its
not like this is the first time this has happened. Have no idea
what DH was doing. Good thing they were in bed when I got up.
And to top it off they wouldnt eat their dinner, I think they
planned this. Sigh.

Well, on the upside, the cake looks very moist and delicious. And with applesauce in it, it wasn't ALL bad for them, right??? icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gif

hehe, that looks like a pic that should be put into a scrapbook page. I agree with Calejo looks good though!

My kids have learned their lesson not to touch any of my cakes! At least it was not a cake that you spent several hours decorating! icon_razz.gif

I have an odd question that's slighly off topic. I heard this mentioned vaguely before, why can't we post pics with people in it?
