Bringing up the rear in trying to load my Father's Day Cookies for this month (June). I am having problems in that the system is telling me my pictures are too big. Any tips would be appreciated because I would still like to participate. I have no problems loading to the gallery only posting here is the issue. Please let me know any tips if I need to retake the pictures (if that is the issue) you know, not so close up or whatever. Can't figure this out. Thanks for your help.

I posted on your other thread also, I have downloaded a very easy-to-use photo editor from www.irfanview.com and it works great to resize the pictures for posting here.

The setting I use is one of the preset ones, I think it's 600x800 pixels (or 800x600, can't remember which way the numbers go) and that size will upload easily to this site.

hth!
Laura.

So if I'm understanding you correctly...open irfanview.com site and download my picture there and then download the picture here from irfanview.com. Is this right?

No, actually you go to www.irfanview.com and download their software onto your computer. Then you open the program from your computer, and within the program you open your picture file, resize it, and save the smaller version on your computer.

Then you can upload it to this site when you want to post it.

It sounds confusing, I know, but if you go to their website there's a lot of information about what it is and how it works, and there's a place to click to download the program.

I am a relative novice when it comes to computer stuff like this, but I was able to do it with no problem and I'm sure you can too! icon_smile.gif
