I'm not sure if anyone else thought of a better idea, but this is what I'm going to try tomorrow for my child's preschool teacher. I took a 12 x 12 box and cut the top off of it. I then cut out a circle into the top and flipped it over to sit nicely in the box. I placed the bouquet into the hole and hopefully tomorrow it will not tip over during transporting.

I also put beans in the bottom of my pot to help stableize it. But then I ended up holding it in my hand and driving with mine. Fortuantely is was only about a 15 minute drive. Any farther and I would have chuncked it out the window. Ok maybe not, but still.

I hobby bake, so the "cheap" way I've done it is to get the free boxes that are under canned goods at my local dollar store. The store puts the canned goods in boxes that have been cut and each box is then about 2-3" high, and a rectangle of about 10" x 15".
I turn the lidless box upside down, then cut an X with a knife that is a tiny bit smaller than the diameter of the cupcake bouquet pot. (I'll try to attach a photo of something similar using a shirt box to transport cupcakes.)
It's not "pretty", but it works.
