I was just wondering for those of you who have tried the Bride's Cake from the Cake Mix Doctor...is this a dense cake? I am attempting to make my first whimsical cake and I know you need a fairly dense cake to withstand the sculpting and the weight of the fondant. Is this recipe a cake I could use for this? TIA!

From what I read about it, I believe it is Jess ... I haven't actually made it, but everything I've read about it, it appears to be

Yes, it is. I've made momof3 has made it, and several others. I love how it tastes and how moist it still is, despite being dense. It's one of my signature cakes.

I love this recipe. I use it for most of my special occasion cakes. Its very moist and delicious. Holds up really well.
