WOW! That is awesome!

I don't even know what my favourite is!  I've got several I really like.

I must admit that of the recent ones I did, I love this one....

I just love how this one turned out!! Teapot with yellow roses... the customer cried when she saw it! She told me it was for her nan... and that her granddad (who tragically died in his 30s) used to buy her nan yellow roses every week. So this was a way to remember him on her nan's special birthday

This one is very special to me...  not the most technically challenging or flashiest design, but I think the love I put into this cake shines through.  It was for my son's Bar Mitzvah last year.

The most important cake I've made. Not the flashiest. Not the most technically challenging. But my favourite, for obvious reasons. It's exactly as I wanted it. OK, IF I'd been more prepared and had had more time, I could have made the pattern on the tallit (prayer shawl around the base) more intricate. But my son and I love this cake. It's very 'old school' - it has a traditional feel to it, rather than being a novelty cake that's just happens to be on the occasion of a Bar Mitzvah, if you know what I mean? The skullcap on the top is a copy of the new ones we bought for my sons and husband to wear yesterday (except theirs was black with a blue pattern and I did this one in blue). Huge thanks to cakesbytatiana.blogspot.com for allowing me to base this on her original design.

AI only have a really rough picture. But this is one of my favorites

It was for a beautiful girl named Madison who has cancer. She drew the picture and I made it happen for her. The look on her face was priceless. My proudest moment as a decorator.

Some amazing cakes in this thread, have enjoyed browsing through them!

I've only made about 5 cakes that I'm happy with so far (I prefer making cake pops and cupcakes for now)

I pick this chicken cake that I copied off an image online, sorry, I can't remember where I found it. It's one of the first cakes I ever made and it was very simple to make but he's kinda cute.

These are two of my favorites:

This was for my grand daughter who was having a make-up party/sleep over. The make up is all gum paste. (Actually, my favorite part was the zipper. I need to find another use for the mold I made.)

I had ambivalent feelings re making this cake. She is only 6yrs old and I felt the subject was a little too old for her. But she was being given a sleep-over party where all her little friends were to be playing dress up, so I relented. The cake is cherry/chocolate chip, filled and covered with dark chocolate ganache-- topped with white choc/ cream cheese MFF. All the cosmetics are made of gumpaste.

This was a take-off on the children's ditty, 10 little monkeys jumping on the bed. I only made 5, one is under the bed.

10 little monkeys jumping on the bed. 1 fell off and bumped her head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" Sung in a sing-song voice, this children's ditty was the theme for her 3rd birthday party. Cake is white chocolate sour cream with strawberry BC filling--covered with white choc ganache and quilted MFF overlay. Head board is pastiallge, eyelet dust ruffle is pearl clay-- (thanks Jennifer Dontz!) while the monkeys are gumpaste. The wild colors matched the party's color scheme.

But my favorite of all was this one. I replicated  the drawing made by a budding 6 yr old artist. She was so proud to see her painting come to life, cake. That gave me more joy than any I'd done.

For her 6th birthday, Madeleine wanted a rabbit with a carrot in a flower garden. I asked her to paint me a picture of what she had in mind so I could replicate it in cake. Every picture she draws contains a rainbow, so using flowed sugar for the figures, and pastillage for the rainbow & sun, here is what I came up with. It took more effort to make the wobbly rainbow and crossed lines pencil effect in the rabbit than I thought it would. The cake is strawberry with dark chocolate ganache filling, covered with white chocolate cheesecake MFF.
